The soul of wood

This project is an exploration of the deep-rooted significance of wood in our world. From the archaic beauty of roughly stacked firewood, promising warmth and comfort, to the intimate grains of everyday objects, to the majestic presence of entire forests rising as silent cathedrals of nature—wood is more than just a material.

It reflects our needs and our history, a vital resource that has accompanied us since the beginning of time. At the same time, it is a place of rest and relaxation, a refuge in whose shade we can draw strength. But this seemingly inexhaustible gift has become fragile. The visible effects of environmental changes, the drought that is affecting the forests, remind us to be mindful.

In these colorful images, I attempt to capture the multifaceted "soul" of wood: its raw power and gentle beauty, its practical significance and emotional value. It is a tribute to an essential component of our lives and, at the same time, a quiet reflection on our responsibility to preserve this precious treasure for future generations.
